I have very little experience with taking pictures, and I've never had the opportunity of doing my own photo shoot before.
Though I was nervous, Kavan was very welcoming and calming. I loved hearing his mission was not to turn me into someone I'm not, but to capture who I really am. He was patient and instructive and put me at ease. It was fun getting to dress up, to try something new. I felt special and beautiful.
When it was time for the reveal I was full of anxious anticipation, excited but nervous to see the moments he captured. Seeing the pictures I felt a bit speechless. I'd never seen myself like that before, strong and soft, beautiful and confident. I love them.

I was pretty nervous going into the photo shoot, I haven’t had my picture professionally taken since senior year of high school! (I won’t say exactly how long ago that was, but it’s been a while!!) We got started and right away, I felt very comfortable, and it didn’t take long to get the hang of things. By the end, I wanted to keep going!!! I really enjoyed the entire experience! Kavan was very easy to work with and gave great direction. He periodically showed me the shots, so I could see how amazing they were turning out.
